Shannon Stepp, LSW
Shannon Stepp earned her Bachelor of Social Work, with a psychology minor, from Elizabethtown College in 2011. She went on to pursue her Master of Social Work, with a concentration in direct practice work and mental health, from the University of Pittsburgh in 2016. While attending graduate school, Shannon completed an internship at the UPMC WPIC Merck Outpatient Clinic, completing psychosocial evaluations and providing one on one and group outpatient therapy to children and adolescents with a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. These clients also had a variety of mental health diagnoses, such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD, and worked towards developing more appropriate social skills and anger management skills. Shannon became a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in January 2017, and is currently working towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Following graduate school, Shannon began working at Lycoming Therapeutic Wraparound Services, where she holds positions as a Behavior Specialist Consultant/Mobile Therapist (BSC/MT), working predominately with the Autism Spectrum Disorder population. This position entails working with children/adolescents who experience severe emotional and behavioral disturbances, providing treatment across settings to stabilize and manage behaviors without the need of a more restrictive environment. At Lycoming Therapeutic, Shannon also provides individual outpatient therapy utilizing a strength-based approach with individuals of all ages.
